After graduating 11 seniors from a state-championship boys volleyball team, Marist exceeded outside expectations by taking third at state this spring.

Lexi Kyros had three hits, drove in two runs and scored another as Marist blanked Oswego 6-0 to finish third in Class 4A.

Senior Tessa Dowling has played at state for Marist in two sports: lacrosse and volleyball.
