Rose Marie Kimmey, a Palos Hills resident who traveled to more than 50 countries and loved Disney, has died. She was 97.
Kimmey, née Basil, was the wife of the late William Kimmey.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Kimmey and Rose Marie Kimmey; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dog, Miss Molly.
She was the sister of Evelyn Haddad, Helen Basil, Betty Bahling, Albert Basil and Sally Shababy. She was also the sister-in-law of the late James Haddad, John Bahling, Cathy Basil and Joe Shababy.
Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills. Prayers are scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
