Felon arrested with gun and drugs
Jorge Luis Tenorio, 29, of the 4800 block of South Kildare Avenue, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm following a traffic stop on the same block at 8:27 p.m. Sept. 12.
Police said Tenorio attempted to hide the gun in his waistband. He was also charged with possession of cocaine.
Tenorio was cited for driving a vehicle with improper registration, speeding, and failing to stop at a stop sign.
Man charged with domestic battery and violating order of protection
Jesus Herrera, 43, was charged with domestic battery and violating an order of protection following a disturbance at his home in the 6700 block of South Kolin Avenue at 1:40 p.m. Sept. 10.
Police said Herrera grabbed a 37-year-old woman during a verbal altercation.
Domestic battery charge follows bat and knife attack
Robert J. Finik, 57, was charged with domestic battery following an incident at his home in the 6100 block of West 64th Place at 7:07 p.m. Sept. 7.
Police said a 47-year-old woman told them Finik threatened her with a bat and cut her hand with a blade during a struggle. The woman’s right hand was bandaged.
Man charged with sexually abusing minor
Carlos Pacheco Gordones, 22, was charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor following his arrest at his home in the 7900 block of South Whipple Street at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 7.
Police said the charges involve sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl at different times over the past year.
Woman faces domestic battery charge
Sharon Howell, 27, of the 9100 block of South Dobson Avenue, was charged with domestic battery following a physical altercation with a 25-year-old man at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 3100 block of West 62nd Street.
Police said Howell punched the man in the face during the fight.
Woman arrested in retail theft
Tracy A. Wilson, 53, of the 2600 block of West 60th Street, was charged with retail theft following her arrest at 4:23 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 5500 block of West 63rd Street.
Police investigating a theft reported at a nearby store found Wilson with stolen merchandise. She matched the description of a person seen on store surveillance video.
Wilson was also wanted on an outstanding Cook County warrant.
Fight over infidelity leads to charges
Mauricio Gutierrez Jr., 28, was charged with domestic battery following a disturbance at his home in the 3800 block of West 62nd Street at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 11.
Police said Gutierrez shoved a 28-year-old woman and struck the left side of her face, causing bruising, after being accused of infidelity.
Alleged drunk driver faces multiple charges
Kayla Summer Meyer, 29, of East Chicago, Indiana, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and multiple other offenses following a one-car crash at 3:20 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 5200 block of South Archer Avenue.
Police said Meyer registered 0.23 blood-alcohol content on a breath test. She was also charged with reckless driving, fleeing and eluding police, driving without insurance, leaving the scene of an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, property damage, not carrying her driver’s license, and disobeying traffic signals.
Police report information is provided by law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken. Persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
