Melinda A. Maynard, fondly known as Mindy, passed away on August 4, 2026.
She was the cherished daughter of the late David Maynard and Janet (Scott) Woeslaw. She was the loving wife to Carlando Hurt, the dearest mother to Nikolas (Michel Carter) Maynard, Destiny (Jamar Ford) Kinnard, and Brayden Maynard, and the adoring grandmother to Kacey Higgins-Maynard.
She was the devoted sister to Melissa (Brian) Furtyo and Melody (Adam Butler) Neyland, the cherished aunt to Caitlin Furtyo and Heavenlee Neyland, and is survived by many relatives and friends.
Mindy was loved by many and a friend to all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and a sharp tongue. She leaves her family and friends with a lifetime of memories to be cherished. She had a way of making people feel welcomed and loved.
Visitation: Friday, August 21, 2026, 3 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
Service and Time of Remembrance: Saturday, August 22, 2026, 9:30 a.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium.
Interment: Fairmount-Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, Illinois.
