Donna Lasky (née Plucinski) passed away suddenly Sept. 8, 2026.
She was the beloved sister of Ed (Maureen) Plucinski and Mark (Barbara) Plucinski. She was sister-in-law to Frank Dorman; John (Joyce Cullin) Lasky; and Diana (Gulshan) Rai. She was a cherished aunt to Sharon Plucinski-Powers (Nick), Bryan (Krista) Plucinski, Kaitlin Plucinski, Stephanie Plucinski-Calnan (Jesse), Michael Kozlowski, and Elizabeth Plucinski. She was also a loving great-aunt to Chloe Banfi and Jack, Mae, and Lulu Powers.
Donna had a heart of gold and a genuine gift for caring for others. Her kindness extended to everyone around her. She loved her cats, including her beloved Sadie, who will miss her mama very much.
Throughout her life, Donna was deeply dedicated to serving others. Her more than 20-year career at Sertoma Star Services was more than simply a job; it reflected who she was as a person. She found purpose in helping others and gave generously of her time, compassion, and heart.
Donna also treasured the simple joys in life: time spent with friends and family, trips to Michigan, the companionship of her cats, and being surrounded by the people she loved. Those who knew Donna will remember her caring spirit, her generous heart, and the love she so freely gave to others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lasky; her parents Al and Dolores Plucinski; her sister Judy Dorman; and her in-laws George and Alice Lasky.
Memorial Service: Sunday, Sept. 27 (her birthday), 2 to 5 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, Illinois. A prayer service will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Interment: Private.
