Paweł Łuszczek, known lovingly as Paul, was born on December 27, 1988, in Zakopane, Poland, and passed from this life on August 8, 2026, in Justice, Illinois, leaving behind a life marked by wit, industry, faith, and a heart that held both his homeland and his adopted country in deep honor.
He was the beloved son of Maria Łuszczek and Jan Łuszczek and the cherished brother of Mariola Trampka (Łuszczek) and brother-in-law of Kacper Trampka. He was a proud and playful uncle to Maksymilian Trampka and Tadeusz Trampka. He was blessed by the gentle love of his grandparents, Helena Suita and Leopold Siuty. His other grandparents, Maria and Władysław Łuszczek, are remembered always. He leaves behind many cousins, aunts, and uncles in Chicago, Canada, and Poland. These bonds of blood were among the richest blessings of his earthly journey.
Paul attended Steinmetz High School and pursued some college studies. He was a man who understood that knowledge is a lamp for his path, and he sought the truth relentlessly. At UPS, he found not only labor but family, as he loved his job and the work family he built there. He was the person who brought humor to mundane moments daily.
In faith, Paul was Christian, and he trusted in the promise of eternal life where there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. Though the difficulties of life brought many shadows, the sacrifice of Christ gave him hope beyond measure. In his hardest moments, he sought to draw closer to God and Jesus. Like Saint Paul who lived 2,000 years ago, he was encouraged by his given name, which means “small and humble.”
Paul enjoyed cars, hunting, shooting ranges, and Blackhawks games. He loved to travel, and his thoughts often turned toward Poland, especially the beautiful Tatra Mountains where he was born. He was also patriotic for the United States, carrying in one heart the pride of two nations. He loved visiting Indiana, where his parents lived, and he found simple happiness in spending time with the family chickens.
His memory remains a bright thread in the lives he touched. Though his earthly race is run, the goodness he shared endures in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in the eternal truth of Christ, and may those who mourn him be comforted by the hope that love is not ended by death, but transformed into remembrance.
