Aggravated speeding charge
A 39-year-old man was charged with aggravated speeding after leading an officer on a chase at 8:36 a.m. July 26.
Radar clocked him at 80 mph in a 45-mph zone on southbound La Grange Road near Archer Avenue. When pulled over, he sped away and was stopped again on La Grange Road just north of 95th Street.
He was charged with speeding 35 miles per hour or more over the limit, driving without insurance, and failure to signal when changing lanes. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 11.
Never issued a driver’s license
A 36-year-old man was charged with driving without a license after he was pulled over at 1:43 p.m. July 26 in the 9400 block of Willow Springs Road.
An officer discovered his registration had been suspended for non-payment of insurance.
He was also charged with two Illinois Vehicle Code violations and driving on a suspended registration.
Man turns in wallet found on Archer
A 32-year-old man turned in a wallet to the police department at 10:15 p.m. July 27 after finding it on Archer Avenue at La Grange Road.
He said he saw the wallet fall from the driver’s side window of the vehicle ahead of him, stopped, picked it up, and brought it to police.
The wallet contained an Illinois driver’s license, a Chase debit card, a credit card, multiple other debit cards, and two $1 bills. The owner had a Naperville address on the license. Naperville police were notified.
