Christopher L. Dilworth, 34, was charged with aggravated possession of a weapon in a vehicle, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at 10:03 p.m. July 9 in the 5600 block of South Western Avenue.
Police said they found a loaded handgun and drugs in his car, including a bag of cocaine and a container of liquid promethazine, a liquid sedative.
Dilworth was also cited for possession of illegal cannabis in a vehicle, suspended registration, and driving without insurance or a seatbelt.
Dilworth is from the 2500 block of East 98th Street.
