Mary Popp, who died Thursday night, May 7, 2026, with her family at her side, was remembered by those close to her as a woman of quiet strength who cherished family gatherings at a lake house in Indiana and found joy in the companionship of her dogs.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Popp and Jeffery Popp; five grandchildren; and six siblings. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael McMullin, and her parents, Francis and Norine McMullin.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet Church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, May 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Chicago, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until prayers at 9:30 a.m.
