Peter Karitsiotis, 65, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2026. He was born on June 2, 1961.
Peter was the cherished son of James and Heido Karitsiotis. He was deeply grateful for their unwavering love, guidance, and support throughout his life.
Peter was a devoted and loving brother to Ted Karitsiotis and his wife Lisa, and to Stacy Angelopoulos and her husband Greg. He was a caring and affectionate uncle to his nieces and nephews, who brought immense joy, laughter, and pride into his life.
Peter was blessed with a large extended family, including many uncles, aunts, and cousins who loved him dearly. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, family gatherings were brighter because of his presence.
Throughout his life, Peter treasured the friendships he built and maintained over the years. His lifelong friends were an important part of his journey, and he deeply valued the countless memories, conversations, celebrations, and moments they shared together. His loyalty, generosity, and genuine care for others made him a trusted friend whose companionship was cherished by many.
Peter will also be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and quiet generosity. He approached life with dedication, always willing to lend a helping hand without seeking recognition. His compassion for others and willingness to give of himself reflected the strength of his character and the goodness of his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Heido Karitsiotis.

Interment: Bethania Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
