Jacob R. Gosicki

Jacob Robert Goscicki, known to everyone as Jake and “Stud,” 27, of Justice, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2026. He was born on May 14, 1999, in Palos Heights, Illinois, to his mother, Mary Michele Dunleavy.

Jake worked as a CDL driver and loved his friends, family, and animals more than anything. He enjoyed going to concerts, festivals, and playing video games with his friends, and he treasured spending time with the people who mattered most to him.

He was a ray of sunshine mixed with a little hurricane — a Juice World enthusiast and a very protective son, brother, and friend. He was the funniest and most selfless person you’d ever meet, with a heart of gold and a way of making an unforgettable impact on everyone around him. His big heart, unforgettable sense of humor, and the light he brought into the lives of others will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Michele Dunleavy; his brother, Zachary Dunleavy (Beth Ruff); and his sister, Nora Goscicki (Cody Graves).

He was a loving nephew to Jenny Dunleavy, Mary Knerr (Dave), Lori Hartung, Mark Dunleavy (Kerry), and Robert Dunleavy (late JoAnn).

He was a loving cousin to Caroline, Liz, Tim (Megan), Michael John, Sarah (Dan), Kyle (Becki), Vicky (Ian), Grace, Otto, Eve, and Michael (Sunnon), and many other cousins. He was a loving friend to so many.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Auntie Moe, Aunt Maureen, Uncle Billy, Aunt Debbie (Hoffman), Uncle John, and Uncle Eddie.
