SNAP Help, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., adults: A SNAP Outreach Case Manager from Respond Now will assist people with the Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as Food Stamps or Link Card. First come, first served. Sign in upon arrival.

The Essential Christmas Carol, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., adults: In this storytelling lecture, William Pack, using a script derived from Dickens’ 1867 abridged reading copy, will perform a reading of “A Christmas Carol” (about 60 minutes), enhanced with a modern recreation of a magic lantern slide show popular during Dickens’ lifetime. Then, in a Q&A, he will answer questions about the curious origins and motivations behind the story. Register.

Experience Little Women – The Musical for all ages: Available to watch December 20, at 2 p.m., through December 22. Louisa May Alcott’s classic story of four sisters growing up in 19th-Century Massachusetts made its London premiere in this acclaimed production at Park Theatre. Originally presented on Broadway in 2005, Sutton Foster, Lydia White, and Savannah Stevenson lead a talented cast in this beloved tale of family, self-discovery, and hope.
