Bernadine Frances Kudia (nee Early), 96, passed away peacefully in Palos Park on January 9.
She was the beloved wife for 69 years of the late Edward Joseph Kudia, loving mother of Michael (Colleen), John (Lisa), Richard and Mark; always caring grandmother of Michael (Mickey), Kathleen, Frances (Joy), Shane, Madelyn and Joseph (Joey); loving brother Donald; her late sisters include Mary Briggs, Collette Rocke, Joan Early, Patricia Foster and Ann Mitsdarfer; and the late brothers Joseph, John, George and Robert; many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her backyard pool parties and afternoon celebrations usually involving home baked kolache.
A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Ave., Orland Park.

He was the beloved husband of Deanna Pape Lagunas; loving father of Jeremy, Frankie, Alex, (Gabriella), Jesus, and Cristian Lagunas, cherished grandfather of Jackeline, Jasmine, Jeanine, Daniel, Mia, Giselle, Rose and Luca; devoted son of Raquel nee Guerrero and the late Javier Lagunas; dearest brother of Juan Manuel (Maria), Fernando (Maricelle), Hermila, (Manuel)Calvillo, Jorge, and Adolfo, (Yolanda) Lagunas.
