Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers closed its doors in Orland Park for the last time on March 7 and all of the signage has been removed.

No reason for the closing was given on the restaurant’s Facebook page and an email to Freddy’s corporate offices went unreturned.

Phone calls and emails to the Village of Orland Park public information officer were also not returned.

The Orland Park location was one of three in the south suburbs. Locations in Frankfort and Homewood remain open.

  1. This place was great when it opened and we ate there many times. We went one day and something just didn’t seem right. The employees had attitudes and the service was not good. Well because we enjoyed the food we tried and as we were eating a customer got a crazy and began throwing stuff around and screaming at the employees. A man came out I believe was a manager and he didn’t do well in calming the situation. Well the next time we went things were worse. The place was dirty. The tables were messy and not wiped down and the same person taking orders at the drive-thru was the same person supposed to be talking walk in customers which is what we were. We waited and our order was finally taken and we waited a long time to get the food. It appeared they were understaffed which I understand is not the employees fault but with the witnessing of the steady downfall of the restaurant I was not at all surprised by them closing. Sorry to see them go . To be fair this is not the only restaurant chain that is slowly going in the wrong direction.

    1. You heard wrong. They have very good burgers, and their fries are great. Pricing is similar to Wendy’s s and much cheaper than five guys

  2. I figured it would close. Didn’t seem to get much traffic. I only went there one time in the years it was there

  3. The place was great the first few years. Then staff/management quality dropped. The service was slow the the place was filthy.
