Mark Edward Svoboda passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at his home in Plainfield, Illinois, after a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Born on June 22, 1961, in Chicago, Mark’s zest for life and unwavering optimism touched everyone he met throughout his 64 years.

LaVerne Anne Tiedmann passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. She was the loving mother of Monica McGrath and Karen (Paul) Veliotis, and cherished grandmother of Mark McGrath, Amber McGrath, Alexis Veliotis-Piotrowski (Kyle Piotrowski) and Nicholas Veliotis.

William “Fred” Frederick Davis, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Everett and Susie Davis and was preceded in death by all of his siblings. Fred was the loving and devoted partner of the late Tillie Neerose and will be fondly remembered by his chosen family and friends for his warmth, loyalty, and camaraderie.

Diane J. Szwed, age 85, passed away on October 23, 2025. She was the devoted daughter of the late Michael and Stella Szwed, and a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Diane will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with family and friends throughout her life.

Audrey Krusnis (née McNichols), beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away suddenly on October 27, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, to Kenneth and Florence McNichols, Audrey was the middle of seven children and grew up surrounded by family. She lived life with an open heart and arms always ready to hug.

Teresa Ann Rys (née Kowolski), age 94, of Worth, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

John F. “Jack” Jaeger, a proud Army veteran of the Korean War and longtime resident of Chicago’s Clearing community, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 25, 2025, just eleven days shy of his 96th birthday. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie Graham.

Robert S. Synal passed away on Oct. 26, 2025. He proudly served as a Battalion Chief with the Chicago Fire Department, dedicating his life to helping others. Robert will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy of service and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
