The Augustinian friars installed Rev. Thomas McCarthy as Prior Provincial on Wednesday, June 10, in a candlelit ceremony at St. Rita Shrine despite severe storms that knocked out power. McCarthy, a St. Rita High School alumnus who previously served as the school’s president, succeeds Rev. Anthony Pizzo, who is beginning a sabbatical after eight years in the role.
