Two packages stolen from porch
Palos Hills police are investigating the theft of two packages from a porch in the 8200 block of Chestnut Drive on Sept. 9.
The homeowner reported leaving the packages for a U.S. Post Office mail carrier to pick up. They were stolen before mail delivery.
Money and jewelry stolen in ruse burglary
Money and jewelry were stolen in a ruse burglary in the 9700 block of Pemberly Court on Sept. 12.
The homeowner told police that an unknown man wearing a “construction-type uniform” came to the door and said he needed to check circuit breakers and appliances. While the homeowner was occupied with that person, other people entered the home, ransacked several rooms, and fled with the money and jewelry.
Man charged with disorderly conduct
Erik L. White, 47, of Palos Hills, was charged with disorderly conduct when police responded to a disturbance on Sept. 13, in the 9700 block of South 90th Avenue.
