Dennis Paul Tennant, 57, of Romeoville, Illinois, passed away Sept. 11, 2026. He was born Jan. 15, 1969, in Berwyn, Illinois.
Dennis will be remembered as a loving and handy man whose gentle spirit and dependable nature touched the lives of many.
He grew up in the Chicagoland and Rockford areas and attended LaGrange High School and Argo High School. Those who knew him best appreciated his practical skills, his warm heart, and the easy way he made others feel comfortable in his presence.
He held a special place in his heart for time spent with his grandparents in Rockford. Those memories remained important to him throughout his life and reflected the deep family bonds that shaped who he was. He treasured simple moments, meaningful conversations, and the comfort of being surrounded by people he loved.
Dennis especially loved working on cars. He took great pride in the care and attention he gave to every detail and had a remarkable gift for making vehicles look brand new. He approached that work with patience, skill, and pride. His talent for detailing cars was matched by the care he showed in all areas of life, where he was known to be both capable and thoughtful.
He was the son of Kathy and John Molinare and Clarence and Janet Tennant. He was the father of Katelyn Sherman and her husband Tim. He was the dearest longtime friend of Fran and Ed. He was the brother of Tina Smith and Shawn Tennant and stepbrother to John Molinare Jr., Joseph Molinare and his wife Dee, Susan Molinare, and Lynn Dawson and her husband Ron. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, 3 to 7 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
Service and Time of Remembrance: Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
