The Old Timers Softball Club celebrated a half-century of summer tradition Saturday, August 22, hosting their 50th Annual Picnic at Argo Park in Summit in partnership with Nubian 9 Forever Argo.
The free event drew families and neighbors from noon to 6 p.m. for hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, rib tips, potato salad, spaghetti, green beans, baked beans, chips, and ice cream. A DJ provided music throughout the afternoon.
One highlight was the return of the 40+ Double Dutch Club, who got picnic-goers jumping rope and laughing. The event has become a cherished community tradition, drawing residents year after year for food, games, and connection.
