Northbound I-57 will narrow to one lane between 107th and 111th streets this weekend for storm sewer work, IDOT said.
The closures begin Friday at 9 p.m., when one lane shuts down. A second lane closes at midnight, leaving a single northbound lane open through the work zone. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 9 p.m. Sunday, weather permitting.
Drivers should expect delays and allow extra time. IDOT urges motorists to use alternate routes, obey posted speed limits, and watch for workers and equipment.
