Margaret M. “Margie” Hanrahan, 88, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born on June 29, 1937, in Bridgeport, Margie dedicated her life to her family and her faith. Known for her infectious laugh and warm demeanor, Margie was the heart of her family. She enjoyed spending summers in Michigan and cherishing time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her children, Eileen (Tim) and Jack; her grandchildren, Sean, Daniel, Caitlin, and Dallas; and her beloved sisters, Shirley (the late Denny) and sister-in-law Therese McGarry (the late Jack), as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernie, and sisters Joannie and Mary.
Visitation: Saturday, June 27, 2026, 3 to 8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m.
