Woman caught after home invasion
Denise Hardy, 69, of the 7300 block of South Artesian Avenue, was charged with burglary following her arrest after she allegedly entered a residence on Artesian without permission at 5:03 p.m. June 28.
Police said Hardy fled before officers arrived but was found nearby in the 7300 block of South Campbell Avenue.

Machete-wielding man arrested
Francisco M. Montalvan, 34, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police responded to a report at his residence in the 3400 block of West 73rd Street at 1:59 a.m. June 28.
Two women, ages 30 and 48, told police that Montalvan brandished a machete during an argument and said, “I am going to kill you.”

Man charged after lewd behavior on bus
Cesar E. Hernandez-Aleman, 29, of the 3000 block of South Karlov Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery of a transit employee and public indecency following his arrest at the Orange Line station in the 5300 block of South Pulaski Road at 10:43 a.m. June 23.
Police said Hernandez-Aleman allegedly placed his hand on a 31-year-old female employee’s leg without consent while on a bus in the 1200 block of West Harrison Street. He was also accused of placing his hand down his pants and masturbating.

Domestic battery leads to arrest
Michael Novak, 46, was charged with domestic battery after police responded to a disturbance at 8:35 p.m. June 23 at his home in the 5800 block of West 59th Street.
Police said Novak allegedly pushed a 41-year-old woman and slammed her head into a wall during a verbal altercation.

Woman threatened with gun
Davon L. Foggey, 26, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegal possession of a laser sight, and two counts of resisting arrest after police responded to a disturbance in the 5900 block of South Artesian Avenue at 1:28 a.m. June 24.
Police said Foggey was moving belongings from his former residence when he allegedly pointed a black handgun at a woman there and threatened to kill her if she did not have an abortion. He fled on foot after being handcuffed and was taken into custody in the 6000 block of Artesian.

Argument ends in punches and arrest
Joel Gallerdo, 21, was charged with domestic battery following an altercation at 9:43 p.m. June 21 at a home in the 6200 block of South Kostner Avenue.
A witness reported that Gallerdo was arguing with a woman and then punched a 46-year-old man in the face when he tried to intervene.

Illegal gun confiscated in traffic stop
Rogelio Castrejon, 24, was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, illegal transportation of open alcohol in a vehicle, and making an improper lane change following a traffic stop at 10:24 p.m. June 23 in the 3800 block of West 68th Street.
Police said Castrejon acknowledged having a loaded 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun when they pulled him over.

Man charged with trespassing in residence
Ivan Marrufo, 24, of Nashville, Tennessee, was charged with criminal trespassing to a residence at 12:36 a.m. June 26 in the 4600 block of South Springfield Avenue.
A 38-year-old woman told police that Marrufo repeatedly knocked and banged on her door demanding to be let inside. When she opened the door, he entered briefly before she pushed him outside. Marrufo was transported to a hospital for observation after banging his head on a wall during the altercation.
