A little friendly competition, a few laser beams and a race against the clock officially arrived in Orland Park on Tuesday as Time Mission opened its doors to the public for the first time.

Families, friends and curious adventurers lined up outside the new entertainment destination at 66 Orland Square Drive, Unit C, across from Orland Square Mall, eager to test their teamwork inside the immersive challenge rooms. The grand opening ceremony drew a crowd of residents from across the south suburbs, many of whom were among the first to explore the attraction’s maze of puzzles, hidden tunnels and timed missions.

David Larson, managing partner at TM Operations, said the opening carried a personal connection.

Time Mission officially opened Tuesday with laser dodging, puzzle solving, hidden tunnels and fast-paced team challenges for all ages.

“Having grown up in the South suburbs, I was especially excited to open this location,” Larson said. “Orland Park is such a fun, family-oriented community with tons of energy, shopping and entertainment, and we know our players are going to love the mix of adventure, teamwork and technology that makes Time Mission unique.”

Time Mission is a team-based adventure experience where groups of two to five players move through more than 25 themed mission rooms, collecting points while racing against the clock. Players solve riddles, crack codes, dodge lasers, uncover hidden tunnels and tackle both physical and mental challenges along the way.

Larson described the attraction as a blend of teamwork, competition and discovery.

“Players dodge lasers, solve riddles, uncover hidden tunnels, climb castles, crack codes, navigate lava floors and more,” he said.

Unlike traditional escape rooms, Time Mission features more than 25 individual mission rooms that allow participants to choose their own path through the experience. Each challenge emphasizes different skills, creating opportunities for every team member to contribute.

“Some missions challenge physical strength and agility, while others test brainpower and strategy,” Larson said. “Everyone has the chance to be the hero, depending on their skill set.”

Inside the venue, players moved from room to room completing tasks within a themed environment that blends competition, collaboration and problem-solving. The attraction’s time-travel concept encourages teams to work together while tackling a wide variety of challenges.

The experience is designed to appeal to a broad audience and provide an alternative to screen-based entertainment.

“It’s a fun way for people of all ages to get off their phones and connect,” Larson said.

To celebrate the grand opening, Time Mission distributed approximately 1,500 complimentary tickets to guests who registered in advance for visits on June 9 and June 10. The giveaway generated strong interest from area residents eager to explore the new attraction.

Company officials said the venue is designed for a variety of groups and occasions, from family outings to corporate events.

“Time Mission is fun for everyone: couples planning date nights, companies doing team bonding, schools seeking field trips that blend history with hands-on learning, and anyone looking for an adventure,” Larson said.

The Orland Park location will operate on an expanded summer schedule, opening from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

TM Operations, based in Tampa, partners with Time Mission Corp to operate locations across the United States and Europe. In addition to Illinois, Time Mission locations can be found in New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.

Officials said they expect the Orland Park venue to become a destination for families, friends and groups looking for a new form of interactive entertainment in the south suburbs.
