Overview:
Beecher/Monee Police Blotter contains charges for no valid license, warrant for dangerous drugs, domestic battery, DUI, and moving violation.
BEECHER
On May 17, Linda Vivas Paez, 19, of Joliet, was stopped for a registration and equipment violation. Further investigation determined Paez had no valid driver’s license and was charged accordingly for the noted violations. A notice-to-appear was provided.
On May 18, Miguel Suarez, 57, of Chicago, was stopped for an equipment violation. Further investigation determined Suarez had a valid arrest warrant by the U.S. Marshal for dangerous drugs, was processed accordingly, and turned over to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
On May 19, Mason Maris, 23, of Crown Point, Indiana, was stopped for a moving violation. Maris was cited accordingly, and a notice-to-appear was provided.
On May 22, Cardrell Sumner, 38, of Beecher, was arrested by officers on an active warrant for failure-to-appear. Sumner bonded and was issued a court date.
On May 25, Aaron Sterling, 39, of Wheatfield, Indiana, was stopped for an equipment violation. Further investigation determined Sterling had a revoked driver’s license and was charged accordingly for the noted violations. A notice-to-appear was provided.
MONEE
On May 19, Monee Police conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Eric Rhodes, 18, of University Park. Rhodes was charged with driving while license suspended, was cited, and released on a pre-trial notice-to-appear.
On May 23, Monee Police responded to a disturbance in the 25600 block of S. Violet Lane. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Jerry Lewis, 64, of Monee. Lewis was charged with domestic battery and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility to be held pending a pre-trial detention hearing.
On May 25, Monee Police conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Joyceann Damon, 41, of Chicago Heights. Damon was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, cited, and released on a pre-trial notice to appear.
On May 25, Monee Police conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Josie Bey, 33, of Monee. Bey was charged with driving while license suspended, cited, and released on a pre-trial notice-to-appear.
