Manure spread on parked vehicle
Someone spread what appeared to be manure across the windshield, hood, and driver’s door handle of a vehicle parked in the Chick-fil-A lot at 6007 S. La Grange Road around 10:45 p.m. May 15, police said.
Fake IDs used to buy alcohol
Two 19-year-old men — one from Hinsdale, one from River Forest — tried to use fake IDs to purchase alcoholic beverages at Hooters, 5925 S. La Grange Road, at 9:45 p.m. May 16, police said. Both received tickets.
Burglary at gaming parlor
An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from Doty’s, 5321 S. La Grange Road, on May 18, police said.
Burglars broke into a gaming machine and removed the cash container. Police determined the suspects fled in a white Kia sedan that had been reported stolen. The vehicle is suspected in two similar burglaries in the suburban area, police said.
Cosmetics worth $1,207 stolen from Jewel
A man stole cosmetic products worth $1,207 from Jewel, 5545 S. Brainard Ave., on May 18, a loss prevention officer reported to police. The suspect was wearing black sweatpants and a black shirt.
Soliciting without a permit
A 22-year-old California man and a 27-year-old Florida man were both charged with soliciting without a permit in the 700 block of Terry Lane on May 19 after a resident complained about solicitation for roof repairs.
Hit-and-run damages vehicle
A woman’s parked vehicle was damaged in a hit-and-run between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. May 20 in the 10700 block of 5th Avenue Cutoff.
Hinsdale woman charged with DUI
Bree M. Stewart, 43, of Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic crash at 55th Street and Dansher Road at 8:36 p.m. May 17, police said.
One vehicle rolled over in the crash. Stewart failed field sobriety tests and refused to provide a breath sample. She was given a court date and released.
Chicago motorist charged with multiple violations
Angel Carreno, 40, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, and driving without a seat belt after an officer spotted him driving without a seat belt in the 5800 block of South La Grange Road at 2:24 p.m. May 18, police said.
Criminal damage arrest
Isaac J. Vega Jr., 28, of La Grange, was charged with criminal damage to property after he broke a window at a residence in the 9900 block of 58th Street at 6:29 a.m. May 22, police said.
