Police responding to a call of a car stuck in a ditch April 18 arrested Cedric Walls Jr., 26, of the 1800 block of Sedgegrass Trail, Aurora, with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis and several other offenses after they found him in the 10800 block of Blue Jay Drive.
Walls was driving his black Nissan SUV southbound on 108th Avenue and crossed the double yellow center lines and drove into a drainage ditch, police said.
When police arrived they said they detected alcohol on Walls’ breath. He reportedly told police he had consumed two shots of tequila at a family party earlier in the day. When police asked Walls if he knew where he was, Walls responded, “Carol Stream.”
Police said Walls was also charged with driving without insurance, improper passing and improper lane usage.
