Marian Maka, a devoted father and grandfather, died April 12, 2026. He was 72.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Maka; five children: Anna Jezierczak, Adam Maka, Marek Maka, Zbigniew Maka and Wieslawa Mietus; nine grandchildren: Gabriela Jezierczak, Arkadiusz Jezierczak, Peter Maka, Lyla Maka, Olivia Maka, Emilia Mietus, Fabian Mietus, Olivier Mietus and Noah Mietus; his brother, Jozef Maka; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zofia and Jozef Maka, and his siblings, Jan Maka, Maria Gil and Stanislaw Maka.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Albert the Great Church, 8029 S. Central Ave., Burbank, Illinois. Prayers and a procession will begin at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
