Peotone: On August 29, Peotone played Lisle in a conference match at Green Garden Golf Course. Peotone came out on top, with a score of 176 to Lisle’s 202. Medalist was Joe Hasse with a one over par 37. Peotone’s three other scoring players included Mason Early 42, Gavin Costanzo 48, and Josh Barta 49.
On August 30, the Peotone golf team had a triangle meet against Grant Park and Momence. Peotone came out with the duel win scoring 183 to Grant Park’s 225 and Momence’s 215. Peotone had dual Medalists Joe Hasse and Mason Early with scores of 43. Gavin Costanzo 46 and Josh Barta 51 were the other scores for Peotone.
Illinois Lutheran: The Illinois Lutheran Chargers golf teams played in a triangular match against Beecher and St. Anne, on Wednesday evening, September 4, on Cardinal Creek’s South Course.
For the boys’ team, Beecher came away with the win, shooting a team total 159 against Illinois Lutheran’s 189 and St. Anne’s 207. The Chargers’ low score on the boys’ side came from Nick Flaig, who shot a 44.
The Charger girls’ team came away with the win, carding a team total 171 against Beecher’s 182 and St. Anne’s 193. The low score for the girls’ match went to Julia Karl, who shot a 50.
