Riot Fest, an annual music festival that was scheduled to be held on the grounds surrounding SeatGeek Stadium, has announced the concert will move to Chicago.
Riot Fest was scheduled to be held on the SeatGeek campus — but not in the stadium itself — from Sept. 20-22. The Chicago Red Stars are scheduled to host San Diego on Sept. 21.
Red Stars management called out the city of Bridgeview on what the franchise called a scheduling conflict, despite a contractual agreement with the city that allows other events to be held on the stadium grounds on game days.
But concert organizers have pivoted and moved the event to Chicago’s Douglass Park, so the Stars battle with the Wave will proceed as planned at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.
The Stars were attempting to find a new venue for the match, which the Kansas City Current had offered to host.
