Crime prevention is the focus of several Chicago Police Department CAPS meetings coming up on the Southwest Side in the weeks ahead. Police will offer the latest crime data, and residents and local business owners will have the opportunity to meet beat officers, air concerns and join forces to implement constructive solutions to crime-related problems.

Beat 834 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at Scottsdale Park, 4637 W. 83rd St.

Beat 922 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at the Brighton Park Branch Library, 4314 S. Archer.

Beats 831 and 832 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 at Marquette Park, 6743 S. Kedzie.

Beat 912 will meet at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing.

Beat 812 will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at the Clearing Branch Library, 6423 W. 63rd Place.

Beat 814 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at Vittum Park, 5010 W. 50th St.

Beat 923 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the cafeteria of Nightingale School, 5225 S. Talman.
