Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate the rededication of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in 165 B.C. and the miracle of the temple lights lasting eight days with just one day’s supply of oil.

Hanukkah is a happy holiday.  Candles are lit for eight days, presents are given to children along with gold-foil wrapped chocolate coins. A game is played in which a dreidel or top is spinned. Potato pancakes called latkes are eaten. It is referred to in the New Testament of the Bible in the book of John 10:22. Jesus observed this holiday and so Christians can celebrate too! May the coming days bring peace and happiness to all.
