Helping Hands Food Pantry, the local pantry serving 650 people per month in need of assistance, still is seeking the community’s help in providing approximately 90 holiday meals during Christmas.
This organization, composed of volunteers from various churches and the community, provides basic essentials twice each month to approximately 80-90 households. For every $1 the organization receives, they are able to purchase $8 of food, while distributing more than seven tons of food each month.
This holiday season, a donation of $20 will provide a holiday meal for a family of four. The Christmas meal will feature a ham and all the trimmings.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution is asked to mail it to Helping Hands, P.O. Box 508, Peotone, Il 60468. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!!
