Giuseppe "Joe" Latorre

Giuseppe “Joe” Latorre, a Bari, Italy, native who built Joe’s International Car Care and was rarely without a camera at his family’s events, died peacefully at home Oct. 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 80.

He was born April 9, 1946, in Bari, to the late Rocco and Carmela Latorre. He grew up with his sisters, Anna and Stella, and his brother, Michele. His Italian roots shaped the man, husband, father and nonno he became, his family wrote.

He built Joe’s International Car Care through hard work and honesty, and customers became familiar faces. His family wrote that he earned his reputation in the community every day for 35 years.

At his niece’s and grandchildren’s events, he rarely put the camera down, determined not to miss a moment worth remembering. His family called those photographs a gift he leaves to all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Vita; his children, Rocco (Danielle) Latorre, Carmela (Steve) Baniewicz and Gino Latorre; his grandchildren, Alyssa Latorre, Joseph Latorre, Nicholas Baniewicz and Anthony Baniewicz; his brother-in-law, Deno; his sister-in-law, Jeannette; and his nieces, Dana (Nick) and Samantha.
