‘Senior Only’ driver’s license services available at SeatGeek Stadium

.

The Office of the Secretary of State has opened a limited time “Senior Only” walk-in center at SeatGeek Stadium located at 7000 S. Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview. The walk-in center will be available through December 31st and is the latest senior-targeted addition to the newly launched Skip-the-Line program designed to reduce wait times at Illinois Driver and Motor Vehicle facilities (DMVs).

Seniors utilizing this “Senior Only” walk-in center will not need appointments, as this program was specifically designed to meet their needs. Although seniors don’t need an appointment they will still have the option to make one at SeatGeek Stadium or other DMV locations.GSWNH StadiumDMV 100623

Bridgeview Mayor Steve Landek was pleased with the center’s opening. “This is a great opportunity to better serve the senior residents of the Village of Bridgeview and surrounding municipalities by providing them easier access to DMV services offered by the Office of the Secretary of State.”

The facility will provide standard DMV services, such as renewing driver’s licenses, conducting driving tests and providing Real IDs.

The Hours of Operation at SeatGeek Stadium are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Seniors looking to visit the SeatGeek Stadium DMV can park in the designated DMV lot located to the right of Gate D, the entrance to the building. Upon entering through the Main Entrance at Gate D, seniors will be guided to the DMV service center.

The Skip-the-Line program is a multi-pronged approach to improve customer service and eliminate the unpredictability of wait times at DMVs. It includes offering appointments at high-volume DMV facilities, expanding hours of operation, and broadening available services online. Unfortunately, the people working outside do not know what they are doing. They refuse entrance to service animals and try to say SeatGeek Stadium will not let them in when in fact, SeatGeek Stadium allows service animals. It’s the State of Illinois refusing my service animal. Also my friend just left and said it was five minutes. The workers outside said it was 4 hours. They called my husband’s friend of 55 years a liar. My husband went inside and was out in under 5 minuets. These workers seriously need to be retrained.

I visited the senior facility at Seatgeek stadium 7000 S. Harlem on 10/10/23. It was a very pleasant experience from walking up to exiting. Everyone was professional, accommodating and very pleasant. It was crowded given Mon 10/9 was Columbus day but all in all a great
experience. I understand this facility will only be opened until 12/31/23. Please keep it open for us seniors
