When you drive by the school you can’t help but see their state-of-the-art building that houses the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Department.  The chairman of the department, Professor Catherine Sikora, helped design and build a machine that makes Oreo cookies.

I could write a whole column on Oreo cookies.

Speaking of delicious food, Palermo’s restaurant, 3751 W. 63rd St., is now offering a banquet special of $3 off per person when you book a party between Sept. 1 and Nov. 15.  Check out their banquet packages and book your party by calling (773) 585-5002 or visit palermosof63rd.com.

The Calvary Lutheran Church Senior Club would like to wish a very happy September birthday to Linda J., Anissa F. and Terry M.  May the dear Lord bless each of you with much joy and happiness on your birthdays and throughout the coming year.

I’ve gotten a few calls from neighbors asking about orange cones, lane rerouting and the street repairs being done on Cicero Avenue between 67th and 71st streets. People want to know what exactly is going on. This has been going on for quite some time and has made the already trafficky street even more challenging to navigate.  A new bridge overlay with joint replacement and structural steel repairs is being done. Expected completion is November 2023.

Messages:  1) Sincere thanks to Marie.   2) K.S. – Call and let me know how you are doing.  I don’t have your current phone number.
