Hailed for helping homeowners in time of need
By Tim Hadac
Two years ago, when Midway Chamber of Commerce President Mary Ellen Brown announced that All Exterior Contractors was the MCC Business of the Month—for a second time—she said half jokingly that perhaps the home improvement company should win the coveted award every month.
After all, she added, All Exterior owner Geno Randazzo “is one of the few business owners who do so much for so many.”
This month, All Exterior has won the award for the third time, an accomplishment unheard of in recent years and never by a home improvement company.

And so it goes for All Exterior Contractors, a company dedicated to saving homeowners and business owners thousands of dollars in their time of need.
“All Exterior Contractors is well known for quality home repairs at a reasonable price,” said MCC Board member Al Cacciottolo. “They are best known for roofing, but they also handle a whole range of services—everything from changing a light bulb to whole-house restorations. Geno is truly impressive.”
What sets Randazzo apart from other is that he also serves as a public claims adjuster—a licensed professional who can and has gotten insurance companies to pay what they should pay homeowners.
“Just about everybody likes their local insurance agent—it may be a friend, a relative, an old classmate—but all too often, it’s a different story when people have to deal with the big insurance companies,” Randazzo said. “Keep in mind, that big insurance company you’ve been paying premiums to for years and years does not represent you. They represent themselves. I have heard story after story where homeowners had thousands of dollars in storm damage, only to have their insurance company cut them a check in the hundreds. They got short-changed; and since they didn’t know their rights, they didn’t know what to do.”
“What I tell people is, call me first at (708) 705-7900—before you call your insurance agent, before you contact your insurance company to make a claim,” Randazzo added. “I will show you how I work on your behalf, representing you to get what you deserve.”
After microbursts that hit the area in recent years, Randazzo signed up hundreds of homeowners whose homes were damaged by the weather. Representing those homeowners, he said his company has achieved an incredible 92% approval rating–getting siding, gutters and roofs all covered 100% through insurance.
A friend of young and old
When he’s not getting insurance companies to compensate homeowners, Randazzo has built a solid reputation as a friend of senior citizens, school-age children, police officers, firefighters and military veterans.
He is the driving force behind the area’s annual back-to-school party in Wentworth Park, which in five years has seen local boys and girls receive thousands of free book bags and packets of school supplies, as well as prizes and a day of fun in the heart of the community.
Randazzo also has sponsored standing-room-only shows of live entertainment for senior citizens, first responders and veterans.
He also is typically among the first to lead charitable drives to help individuals and families thrown into hard times by tragedies like house fires, illnesses, disabling injuries and death.
“For years, Geno has set a good example of small business with a heart,” Cacciottolo added. “If every business in Chicago did only a fraction of the good that Geno does, the city would be a truly wonderful place.”
