Springfest, April 22, 5K/1.5 mile Fitness Walk Approximately 100 runners and walkers lined up at the starting line in front of the Manteno American Legion on Saturday, April 22, for the start of the Springfest 5K/1/5 mile Fitness Walk, as Legion race director, Dan Gerber gives final race instructions. Manteno public works supervisor Jim Hanley was the guest race starter, firing a WWII M1 rifle to start the runners.
