The Stickney Forest-View Lions Club will be holding their 71st annual Pancake and French Toast Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 7, at Edison Elementary School, 4100 Scoville Ave., Stickney.

The Pancake and French Toast Breakfast was the club’s original fundraising event and it continues to be one of their major sources of charitable funds. Funds raised by the club are used to support a variety of local requests including annual scholarships for area high school graduates, donations for local cancer- and vision-related charities, and Chicagoland hunger and food pantries.

“The Pancake Breakfast has consistently been one of our more popular Club events,” said Club Vice President and Pancake Breakfast Co-Chair Gwen Murphy. “We get many people attending from Stickney, Forest View, and other nearby communities. We are still trying to rebuild awareness of the event after having to stop holding it during the pandemic, so we hope people spread the word with their families and friends.”

In addition to the pancake and French toast breakfast, the club will have a variety of raffle drawings for prizes, including a fire pit, a mystery prize, and gift cards.

Tickets are $9 per person. Children under 5 are free. If you know a Stickney-Forest View Lions Club member you can purchase tickets from him or her. Or send us a message for other ways to purchase tickets. Bring any non-perishable food item for the food pantry and receive an entry into the door prize raffle.
