Robert T. Stasicky, 80, of Kankakee, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born on July 13, 1942, in Donora, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Thomas and Mary (Andreja) Stasicky. Robert married Beverly Wyma on April 19, 2008, at St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Robert, a former member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed golfing and working with his hands, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Beverly Stasicky of Rochester Hills, Michigan; son, Robert (Kristie) Stasicky of Bradley; daughters, Suzanne Stringfield of Florida, Trisha Martsen of Massachusetts, and Terry (Alex) Barrera Stasicky of New York; stepdaughter, Tonia (Jim) Cremonesi of Rochester Hills; eight grandchildren; sisters, AnnaMarie (Joseph) Yashinovitz of New Jersey and Danielle Novelle of Florida; and brother, James Stasicky of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Stasicky.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, February 3, at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
