Chicago Police and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force visited Clearing late last month to apprehend a man wanted in connection with a West Side shooting.

Shaheer Muhammad, 24 of the 3800 block of West Grenshaw, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at a home in the 6000 block of South Major.
He was charged with one count of aggravated battery. Police said he is the man who shot a 39-year-old man in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road, back on Oct. 13.
He was due at a bond hearing last week.
According to public records, Muhammad has been arrested three times by CPD since 2017 on charges that included criminal damage to property and aggravated assault of a teacher.
