Raul Flores, Marine Corps Veteran and retired Chicago Police Department Sergeant from the Area 4 Detective Division, longtime resident of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, passed away at home on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

She was the devoted wife of Amado Collazo for 66 years, until his passing in September 2018. Flora was the loving mother of Sonja (Miguel) Gonzalez and the late Luis (late Vicki) Negron. She was a cherished grandmother/Wela to Leo (Jessica), Vincente, and Marina, and an adored great-grandmother/Ah to Leo and Ziamara.

Michael Joseph Madeja of Burbank, Illinois, born December 3, 1970, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, laughter, and quiet strength throughout his battle with cancer. Michael was a devoted dad to his children, Jessica and Michael, who were the bright lights of his life and the source of his greatest pride.

Konstantinos “Kosta” Minakis, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Downers Grove, Illinois, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on April 8, 1945, on the beautiful island of Chios, Greece, Kosta was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose generosity, passion, and gifted hands touched everyone who knew him.

Born in Chicago on March 22, 1972, Donna was a longtime resident of Bridgeview and Hickory Hills. Her journey through life ended far too soon, but the path she walked was filled with love, devotion, and unforgettable moments. She embraced life with energy and passion—treasuring her family and friends, music, reading, movies, cooking, great food, and long drives. Though she rarely paused to rest, she touched many lives, and countless people were blessed to walk beside her.

Andrzej Szczurek, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Hickory Hills, Illinois, at the age of 54. Born on December 17, 1970, in Chochołów, Poland, he was the beloved husband of Helena Szczurek (Krzysiak), with whom he shared a life grounded in love, devotion, and mutual respect.

She was the beloved wife of the late Danny Latronica and the loving mother of Anne (Jim) O’Malley, Tina (Tom) Bruckner, Margie (Mike) Ward, Winnie Pigott, and Amy (Kevin) Wren. She was the cherished grandmother of Dan (Megan) Bruckner, Jimmy O’Malley, Marty (Ally) Bruckner, Melissa (Colin) Rapson, Wil Pigott, Ryan Wren, Megan Wren, and the late Jack O’Malley, and the proud great-grandmother of Lena, Sophia, and Peter.
