Would you like to get a head start on your Christmas shopping? I suggest stopping by the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, 6500 S. Pulaski, for their First Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. This event promises to be a great afternoon of holiday fun. There will be homemade crafts for sale plus lovely gift items. In addition, there will be food and entertainment.
The Balzekas Museum is also the location of the next 13th Ward Senior Citizen Club meeting. Ald. Marty Quinn will host this gathering on Friday, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. Registration is required. Call Barb at (773) 581-1313 no later than Nov. 28. Feel free to bring an additional person with you to the meeting.
The Southwest Regional Senior Center, 6117 S. Kedzie, has scheduled a visit by nurse Rhonda H. Rucker on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. She will provide the following services: blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks and weight measurement. Twenty-third Ward Ald. Silvana Tabares is hosting a Ring Pet Collar Tag giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 18 at her West Lawn office, 3954 W. 63rd St., from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is required. Call (773) 582-4444 for details.
The next meeting of the West Lawn Conservation Club will take place at the West Lawn Branch Library, 4020 W. 63rd St., on Monday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting agenda includes information on winter sowing, front yard garden designs, sharing seeds, cataloging, reflecting on 2023 garden successes and plans for 2024 gardens. Pro Cutz Barber Shop, 3746 W. 63rd St., has a special offer. Bring three friends and you get a free haircut. Barber Angel Soule has been working to improve his shop by making it more family friendly. Angel said, “Bring your kids, nephews, cousins. We can get them all looking fresh.”

The Calvary Lutheran Church Senior Club, 6149 S. Kenneth, will have their next meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at noon. This will be a special potluck lunch get-together along with their usual bingo and raffles. All seniors are invited to join this fun group.
