Four armed carjackings in the greater Ashburn area have prompted police to issue a community alert.
Crime scenes include:
- 3300 block of West 83rd Place at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27.
- 8100 block of South Sacramento at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1.
- 3800 block of West 84th Place at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.
- 2600 block of West 71st Street at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.
The carjackers were described as black men or boys age 13-26, about 5-foot-4 to 6-foot-1 100-160 pounds.
Those with useful information to share are asked to call CPD Area 1 detectives at (312) 747-8380 and refer to crime pattern P23-1-031.
