Brady Cloherty passed for 281 yards and five touchdowns as the Caravan beat Marist 56-26 to open Catholic League Blue play.

2. Brother Rice (2-2) 2

The Crusaders pushed Loyola to the limit before falling 27-24. Quarterbacks Sam Holcomb and Rocco Galasso combined for 266 passing yards and three TDs.

3. Lyons (4-0) 3

EJ Kuhlman’s 27 carries for 157 yards included an 81-yard TD sprint in a 38-28 win against Hinsdale Central in the West Suburban Silver.

4. Sandburg (3-1) 4

Sean Ruisz ran for one touchdown and passed for another, but the Eagles lost 35-13 to Homewood-Flossmoor in the SouthWest Suburban.

5. Marist (2-2) 5

Jake Fleming threw three TD passes for the RedHawks, who were within eight points in the fourth quarter before Mount Carmel pulled away to win 56-26.

6. St. Rita (2-2) 6

John Fennell passed for a TD and had two short scoring runs in a 28-12 Catholic League Green win against St. Francis.

7. Nazareth (1-3) 7

The Roadrunners fell 47-42 to Montini in the Catholic League Green despite 301 passing yards and three TDs from JJ Chapman.

8. Oak Lawn (4-0) 8

Jayden Schlosser ran for three touchdowns and Mekhi Dawson had two TD carries as the Spartans coasted past Argo 62-7 in the South Suburban Red.

9. Richards (2-2) 9

Marquise Charles and Jordan Lewis each ran for two scores as the Bulldogs beat Reavis 42-13 in the South Suburban Red.

10. Andrew (2-2) 10

Declan Murphy and Aiden Garcia both scored twice for the Thunderbolts in a 34-6 SouthWest Suburban win against Stagg.
