Gary “Gymshoe” Suski, age 61, passed away suddenly on August 1, 2026.

He was devoted to his love and soulmate, Vicky (Hernandez) Gomez, who fondly called him Buttercup.

Gary was a skilled diesel mechanic, an avid motorcycle rider, joker, and music lover. He was a proud member of the South Suburban Chapter of ABATE and the only smartass who would give you the shirt off his back, proudly wearing his heart on his cutoff sleeves.

He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Brothers and Suzanne Maher; nieces Sabrina (Charlie), Shayla (Dean), Samantha (Tim), and Jennifer; nephews Travis and Michael (Jessica); stepsons Paul and Nick (Ramona); mother-in-law Dolores; sisters-in-law Michelle and Marie; brother-in-law Anthony; and Auntie Angie (Paul). Gary will always be loved by many cousins and too many great nieces and great nephews, loved ones who will remember him as “Uncle Gary,” a larger-than-life biker family, and 2 motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his mother and “Hero” Diane Kent; his father, Walter (Petty) Suski; his brother-in-law Glen Brothers; and his pets Chevy, Lucky, and Two.

Celebration of Life: Friday, August 7, 2026, 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). All friends and family are invited to celebrate his life and share memories.
