Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker headlined a FuelFest tribute to Paul Walker at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, raising over $1 million for the late actor’s disaster-relief charity.
The event featured live music, custom vehicles, and a final performance of “See You Again,” the Wiz Khalifa song that became a global tribute to Walker after his death in 2013.
Gibson performed R&B hits as the crowd sang along. Cody Walker, Paul’s brother, joined in for a moment that drew laughter from the audience. The night closed with both men asking attendees to rev car engines, raise phone flashlights, and sing together—a direct tribute to the actor who launched the Fast and Furious franchise.
A portion of ticket profits went to Reach Out WorldWide, the nonprofit Walker founded in 2010 after the Haiti earthquake. The organization deploys volunteer medical professionals, firefighters, and construction workers to provide immediate relief following natural disasters.
Cody Walker announced that FuelFests have raised over $1 million cumulatively in recent years. He and Gibson said the event will return to the Chicagoland area in the near future.
