Andrzej Janik, age 87, passed away on June 16, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Anna Janik (née Sadelska) and the loving father of Zofia (Jozef) Maka, Andrzej (Anna) Janik, Marian (Maria) Janik, and Piotr (Maria) Janik.
He was a dear grandfather of Monika (Kamil) Baczynski, Magdalena (Bogdan) Chodorowicz, Sylwia (Andy) Kosmowski, Joanna (Zachary) Katterman, Jozef (Natalia) Janik, Jan Janik, Daniel Janik, Lukasz (Honorata) Janik, Adrian (Veronica) Janik, and Sabina Janik. He was the dearest great-grandfather of Elisa, Julian, Kaya, Sebastian, Natalia, and Noah.
Andrzej was the cherished son of the late Katarzyna (née Jarzabek) and the late Andrzej Janik. He was the fond brother of the late Wladyslaw Janik, the late Stanislaw Janik, the late Ludwika Strama, and the late Maria Fit. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation: Sunday, June 21, 2026, 3 to 7 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
Funeral: Monday, June 22, 2026, 9 a.m. Prayers and procession to begin from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton Street, Willow Springs, Illinois, for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
