Theresa M. Piwowar, a dedicated parish secretary at Saint Blase Church in Summit for many years, died May 9, 2026. She was 75.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Piwowar, and many cousins, relatives and friends. Her parents, Rose and Frank Piwowar, preceded her in death.
A visitation was held May 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. A funeral Mass was held May 14 at 11 a.m. at Saint Blase Church, 6101 S. 75th Avenue, Summit, Illinois, with prayers and procession beginning at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home. She was buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests mass offerings.
