Sebastian Borzęcki, a south side Chicago native who built a career as a real estate and automotive photographer and was known for his creativity, warmth and loyalty, died May 16, 2026, in Justice, Illinois. He was 43.
He was born July 17, 1982, in Nowy Targ, Poland, and grew up on the south side of Chicago, where he built lifelong friendships and countless memories.
Borzęcki was a real estate and automotive photographer with a natural gift for composition and an eye for detail. He was tech savvy and passionate about his work, turning his love of cars and design into his profession.
Cars captivated him from childhood. He spent hours building and painting model cars his father gave him, a passion that never faded. His love for automobiles became woven into both his work and his identity.
He was an accomplished cook who learned from his mother, Danuta, who made traditional Polish food. He loved spending time with family and was known for his easy-going spirit, sharp sense of style and willingness to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his mother, Danuta Borzęcka; his father, Zbigniew Borzęcki; his sister, Magdalena Borzęcka; his lifelong friend and brother in every way, Michal Chowaniec; his dog, Misia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation was held May 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. A funeral Mass was held May 22 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Albert the Great Church, 8029 S. Central Avenue, Burbank, Illinois, with prayers and procession beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home. He was buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
