Wladyslawa Kalemba

Wladyslawa Kalemba, a Polish immigrant who raised three daughters and became a grandmother and great-grandmother, died May 16. She was 80.

Kalemba was born Wladyslawa Koscielniak. She was the wife of Jozef Kalemba, who died before her.

She is survived by her three daughters: Danuta Koscielniak and her husband, Czeslaw; Elzbieta Zadlo and her husband, Stanislaw; and Barbara Siedlarczyk and her husband, Krzysztof. She had 11 grandchildren: Paulina, Patrycja, Piotr, Mateusz, Natalia, Sebastian, Izabela, Caroline, Evelyn and Emily. She had eight great-grandchildren: Everly, Barrett, Liam, Mason, Henry, Adam, Helena and Rozalia.

She is also survived by her companion, Zbyszek Kazmierski; her brother, Jozef Koscielniak; her sisters, Stanislawa and Wladyslaw Koscielniak; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Aniela Cebula and Franciszek Koscielniak; and her siblings Jan, Maria, Wanda, Zofia and Helena Koscielniak.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 20, at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Albert the Great Church, 8029 S. Central Avenue, Burbank, Illinois. Prayers and a procession will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
